Security

Secure Cloud

All your conferencing Collaboration data is hosted in our secure private cloud within Australia, giving you absolute confidence that your video, voice, meeting information, messaging, and content are protected and safe.

Independent Accreditation

Our vMeeting UC2UC Exchange is currently being assessed for IRAP protected level classification with the objective of being listed on the Australian Signals Directorate’s Certified Cloud Services List (CCSL). This certification is based on the Australian Government Information Security Manual addressing key security risk mitigations (Information, Personnel and Physical security).

Information Security

Protecting your information today and tomorrow. Our security measures adhere to the stringent standards set by Australian Government for information security across three core elements - confidentiality, integrity, and availability - providing protection that matches your information’s value, classification, and sensitivity.

Personnel Security

Our people get security. That’s why we have created a culture of protective security, and we understand the responsibilities and obligations that come with accessing secure information. Our disciplined and comprehensive approach to personnel security provides a level of assurance as to the honesty, trustworthiness, maturity, tolerance and loyalty of our individuals.

Physical Security

Our physical work environment is safe and secure. This includes all physical security requirements and occupational health and safety measures, including a safe work space for our people, appropriate physical security in our facilities, and protective measures.

Data Storage & Ownership

Your data will always remain secure in our Australian private cloud environment. Assurance that you retain ownership of your data, and can access, download, and re-use your stored content at any time.

Managed Services

Make sure your day-to-day conferencing is effective and efficient. Unified Conferencing and Collaboration solutions are meaningless without the right technology, tools and well-trained staff.

Time is money. Whether you’re connecting with executives around the world, meeting with clients’ or negotiating your latest deal, you want to ensure ease-of-use for your conference. Personalised service is delivered through our vMeeting Network Operations Centre (vNOC). Our skilled Unified Collaboration specialists offer management and support services including scheduling, launching of calls, greeting participants, recording calls, troubleshooting callers with access problems, and production services such as rearranging screen layouts on a multiparty conference.

We proactively monitor network performance using our customised monitoring and alerting system. This provides remote and real-time warnings based on endpoint devices exceeding network thresholds for latency, jitter and packet loss. Proactive monitoring includes performing a daily morning ‘Health Check’ to validate that each collaboration system is operational, which has proven to be a cornerstone for reliable Unified Collaboration.

We understand that a single point of contact is critical for successful Incident Management. Our specialised vNOC team handle all technical issues from beginning to end including the coordination of technical issue resolution. So, if you do experience any unexpected collaboration issues, have confidence that it will be resolved quickly and efficiently with updates generated automatically.

Leave the hard work to us. We perform System Administration of the endpoints and core UC infrastructure for all operational activities including reviewing system logs, completing planned software releases, managing global address books, maintaining configuration consistency, performing backups, and managing the asset inventory list.

Get more from your Unified Conferencing and Collaboration investment. The Service Reporting review meetings are held regularly to review utilisation, trending and performances against Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure that you’re getting the most from our Conferencing Collaboration service. Service Reporting also includes incident reporting which recommends remedial action to prevent recurring problems.

FAQs

What is a VMR?

A Virtual Meeting Room is where multiple rooms and people can meet remotely.

How many VMR’s can be used?

The Vantage vMeeting MCS provides support for unlimited Personal VMRs, Reservation VMRs, and vNOC Assisted VMR Events.  Whilst the vMeeting MCS does not have a concurrent port limitation, for practical reasons Vantage limits the Personal and Reservation VMRs to a range of 5 -25 concurrent ports, and significantly more for vNOC Assisted Events (based on the transcoding mix).

What is key to creating a Unified Collaboration environment?

The key to creating a pervasive Unified Collaboration environment is providing a strong user experience which is more than high-quality video and careful consideration should be given to the following items that impact the user experience:

  • Simplicity: starts right up front with the workflow (scheduling, notify and attend) and continues to the actual Unified Collaboration session/meeting when introducing content. The best solutions provide a strong user experience without complicating the experience for both internal and external participants.
  • Consistency: is a critical part of ease-of-use and participant comfort, which impacts the overall effectiveness of the Unified Collaboration session. In our experience, consistency is often under-valued in favour of technical features. A consistent user experience (look and feel of the client, workflow for joining a session, controls available during a meeting), regardless of the type of Unified Collaboration session/meeting, the number of participants and their location, the devices in use, or the network connections.
  • Accessibility: part of the user experience involves the ability to access the Unified Collaboration solution easily from any network (company network, public Internet, mobile network), from any device (group video system, desktop PC, laptop, tablet, smartphone), and from any location (office, home, on the road, airport).
  • Interoperability: the solution should offer strong interoperability to ensure that users can connect and enjoy a strong experience from different kinds of systems and software solutions.
  • Quality of Experience: it goes without saying that the solution you choose should deliver high-quality video, natural feeling and easily intelligible audio, and high-resolution content.

Does your Cloud UC solution use the Skype Meeting button?

Our vMeeting UC2UC Exchange can be integrated with your Skype for Business  (SfB) infrastructure (otherwise known as cascading between the vMeeting UC2UC Exchange and your SfB infrastructure). This workflow is dependent on you scheduling a meeting using Skype Meeting button with the Outlook client. A personal VMR is generated by the SfB server and users attend the SfB VMR by either “click to join” or entering the VMR on the room appliance codec for both desktop and room appliance codecs. An advantage of the Personal SfB workflow is that only two concurrent ports per concurrent VMR are utilised, regardless of how many SfB clients and/or POT’s (assuming the SfB infrastructure has been configured to support PSTN conferences).

What if other conference participants don't have Skype for Business?

Our vMeeting MCS offers you the ability to access the Unified Collaboration as a Service easily from any network (company network, public Internet, mobile network), from any device (group video system, desktop PC, laptop, tablet, smartphone), and from any location (office, home, on the road, airport). In this environment, users join a virtual meeting by dialling into the respective VMR from the following devices: POTs, 323/SIP appliance endpoints, Web browser client, Skype for Business client.

Do I need to buy any special equipment?

Our secure vMeeting UC2UC Exchange delivers all the benefits of a dedicated conferencing solution (security, customisation and integration) without high-cost capital investment on infrastructure and on-going operational costs.

Why is security important and is service/data stored in Australia?

Our vMeeting UC2UC Exchange has been awarded by the Australian Signals Directorate as an accredited ASD Certified Cloud service with the classification level of PROTECTED. The ASD Certification is based on the Australian Government Information Security Manual addressing security risk mitigations associated with Cloud computing addressing Information, Personnel and Physical security (stored in Australia).

How long will it take to implement?

This standard deployment time for a vMeeting MCS implementation is approximately 6-8 weeks. The Cloud UCaaS makes it possible for customers to embrace a subscription business model (only pay for what you consume) that improves with age rather than locking themselves into a single vendor solution involving extensive technical teams to marshal complex and lengthy deployment cycles.
